LATC Mission Statement

"Holding true to our traditional values, we will provide transportation professionals, shippers and suppliers a forum to foster relationships, share ideas and solutions while raising funds to support our membership and communities. "A tradition since 1924".

President’s Message

For over 93 years the Los Angeles Transportation Club (LATC) has played a leading role in the Southern California community.  It is a great honor to lead such a well-respected non-profit organization.  Our membership consists of people and companies that have the desire to stay well informed, connected, promote our industry and region, and want to have the opportunity to give back to our community.

Education-No matter how good you are, you must always be sharpening your saw.  Our monthly meetings average 150 attendees and are typically held on the second Tuesday of each month at 12pm for about 90 minutes.  The meetings include lunch, a keynote presentation, with a question and answer session by a high profile industry executive leader.

Networking-Effective networking is a life-long skill.  Our membership consists of people and companies representing hundreds of retailers, importers, manufacturers, educators, students and service providers throughout the Southern California region.  In additions to networking at our monthly meetings, we hold our annual Golf Tournament and Scholarship Fundraiser with up to 144 golfers at Old Ranch Country Club in May and have our Annual Transportation Night Fundraiser at Knott's Berry Farm in September with up to 8,000 attendees.

Promoting Our Industry and Region-Southern California is home to the nation's two busiest seaports and is one of the world's largest logistic hubs.  The logistics and transportation industry is responsible for over 1 million jobs in the Southern California region.  As a member of our organization you are actively promoting our industry and our region.

Giving Back to Our Community-Los Angeles Transportation Club membership and attendance at our events goes directly towards supporting our Southern Califonia charties and scholarship endowments that we care so deeply about.  We have donated hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years to our charities.  In 2015 we donated $65,000 to our community.

Join us as a corporate member or individual member today. I invite you to attend our monthly meetings and our annual events when possible.  Let's work together to make a difference in both your personal and professional life, your employer, our industry and our community.
