The LATC Mission Statement

"Holding true to our traditional values, we will provide transportation professionals, shippers and suppliers a forum to foster relationships, share ideas and solutions while raising funds to support our membership and communities. "A tradition since 1924".

President’s Message   

I hope you enjoyed a very pleasant holiday season.

With the start of 2012, the board of directors and officers are anticipating a year of great events and programs to bring to the membership. We have been working hard behind the scene in November and December to finalize plans to take forward in 2012.

We have our Executive Speaker luncheon Series nearly complete with experts from their chosen fields to present to us about our industry. On January 10th, Ms. Ritter-Martinez from the Los Angeles Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC) will be our guest speaker.

Our annual golf tournament is in the final planning stage and will be held in April at the California Country Club in Whitter. We are discussion about adding another event later in 2012.

For our philanthropic efforts for 2012, we plan to be more visible throughout the community. We are participating in event in April with Sharefest where we will help a local community with a project. Our Charity and Scholarship Committees will be looking at other local charities and events the LATC can support that will have an impact to the cause.

We welcome each of you to participate in our events and we solicit your suggestions on enhancing the LATC. I am looking forward to meeting you at the events this year.
